NYC College Line provides students and education professionals with answers to their college questions through expert advice and connections to local programs and events.

It’s the start of New York College Application Week!

Across the city, high schools, community-based organizations, and other agencies will set aside hours to help students identify the right institutional fit, draft college essays and gather the information needed to complete their college applications.

NYC College Line’s schedule for the week will include:

November 17-21: All week our college advisers will be available 24/7 to answer parent and student questions about college via our Ask An Adviser tool.  Encourage your students to send in their questions!

November 18: We are proud to be co-sponsors (along with the NYC Department of Education) of College Summit’s 2014 NYC App-A-Thon exclusively for the NYC counseling community.

We will be offering exciting training on free apps designed specifically to help counselors streamline and save time in their busy days.

Easy to Use.  Easy to Understand.  Choose, Use & Fuse these new tech tools into your counseling!

Some featured apps include:

  • Raise.me - Micro-Scholarships for your students
  • RoadTripNation.com  - Connect student interests to careers
  • NYCCollegeLine.org – One stop shop of information for college access, success & completion

November 20: Look for the “FAQs of Financial Aid” webinar led by Jamal George and Sandy Jimenez - NYC College Line’s Senior Advisers - on College Week Live.  We will be answering the most common questions related to financial aid.
